Our house leaks...

We had some issues with our tent too this weekend.  It leaked from underneath.  Through the footprint groundsheet and through the tent inner.  Luckily nothing got to wet.  Just a little damp.  I emailed Kyham yesterday and they have arranged a collection on Monday to put the inner through some tests back at their warehouse.

Hopefully it will all return in working order before we leave for Poland on the 12th September.  The last thing we want is a leaky tent when we're heading for Poland.  It's not famous for it's dry winters.

In other news we took our Coleman pans back yesterday as all the non stick came off the small pan.  We invested a bit more money and bought an MSR 2 pot set.  To be honest the Coleman pans where way to large for just me and Vick.  The MSR are as light as a feather.

Mr. & Mrs. Brookes

Well, were back from the wedding.  Its been a long weekend and it's taken me 4 days to get back up to speed.

I have finished the Wedding photo book now,  4 days later adding 200+ images.  Fingers crossed it comes out OK.  It should be here in a week, perfect timing for when the Bride and Groom return from their Honeymoon in the south of France.

It was a great day... a very long day I was ready for bed at about 9.  I don't know why I was so worried about the speeches.  Harry was a mess during his.  I don't think I have ever seen him cry with emotion.  Its normally because he has injured himself in some way.  He even made me cry.

It was a shame the weather was so bad really.  It was sunny at times but then every half hour it rained.

Our current residence now in Hoddesdon in Hertfordshire.  We're here to help Harry and Frankie get ready for their wedding this weekend.
In 3 days I have to do a speech in front of 100 odd people.  I'm a tad scared to be honest. If you want I can give you a teaser...

"Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen.  Most of you who know me will know that I am completely pooping myself over this speech. You can probably tell by the sound of my voice..."

Imagine everyone naked.  That's what I will do. Although that could be a bit weird as most of them are like family.

The wedding is being held at the Batemans Brewery in Wainfleet, Lincolnshire.  It could get messy.  I will give you a full report on our return.

Our House

Our current house is a Kyham Igloo 3 man tent.  We needed a large tent to live in and move around in but small enough to pack away into the car and we needed it to be quick to put up and take down.  We didn't really want a 2 second popup tent as they seem to turn to jelly as soon as a breeze hits it.

The Kyham seemed perfect for the job and is currently standing up to the test if a little faded. Its taken a beating in the wind and rain and we're still dry.  I have added a link below to the Kyham website if you want to know more. Click here

I'm going to try and explain as much as I can in this blog even to me linking a tent.  It might seem a bit over the top but the more information the better.

If living in a tent wasn't hard enough our mode of transport is a 1976 Citroen AKS400.

Who are we... ?

I'm Max (The one with the beard) and the other is my Fiancee Vic.  We both left our jobs back in March.  After talking about it for 3 years we finally got our arses into gear and started saving as much as we could.  We stopped buying pointless takeaways because we were to lazy to cook, and we started having to say no to weekends away.  I even started working 12 hour shifts just to get as much money as possible.

We eventually decided on a date to hand in our notice.  It's a little daunting handing in your notice knowing that you have nothing to fall back on.  But its also well worth it.

We currently have no house, no job, no bills and its awesome.
I am currently sat at my Girlfriends mums house after getting a return ferry home in July for a wedding.  We kind of have to go really as I am Best man and Vic is the bridesmaid.

I decided to start a blog for our travels.  As prepared as I am I'm already 3 months behind on blogging.

Me and Vic both left our jobs in March and have been on the road visiting France and Spain for the last 3 months.  Our next ferry is booked for September 13th from Harwich to Hook of Holland so in the next 2 weeks I will back track and try and fill you in on our last movements away.

Hopefully I will keep this updated in future depending on internet connection etc.
